The Royal Minor Court of Queen Silvia LXXXIII has been selected and announced by Mountain State Forest Festival Director General Robin Miller and Queen’s Department Director Melanie Dempsey.
Representing the 83rd royal court will be Crown Bearer Emma Rae Morgan, Scepter Bearer Callie James Casto, Flower Girls Gwynneth Allison Walters, Talia Michael Nucilli, Alexis Rosana DeVall and Cora Grace Herron, and Train Bearers Jackson Allen Friddle and Troy Justin Jackson.
Emma is the daughter of Jon and Jennifer Morgan of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Raymond and Susan LaMora of Elkins and Gregory and Pamela Morgan of Elkins. She has one brother, Grant Morgan. In the fall, she will be a Kindergarten Student at North Elementary School. She is a junior beekeeper and attends dance class at Dance by Farrah. She is a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Callie is the daughter of Dustin and Megan Casto of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Linda Sponaugle of Elkins and Chris and Tammy Casto of Elkins. She has one sister, Everly Casto. In the fall, she will be a second grade student at Third Ward Elementary School. She attends Center Stage Dance Studio where she studies jazz, hip hop, ballet and is a member of the dance competition team. She enjoys playing outside, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Gwynneth is the daughter of Brad and Melissa Walters of Daily. She is the granddaughter of Sara Simmons of Elkins, Bill and Healther Mcintyre of Charles Town and Bill and Tina Walters of Martinsburg. She has one sister, Darrah Walters. In the fall, she will be a third grade student at George Ward Elementary School. She studies tap, hip hop and ballet at Center Stage Dance Studio and is on the competition dance team and a competitive gymnast at Tumble Time Gymnastics. She attends Valley Independent Baptist Church and is a member of the Ski-Hi 4-H club. Her hobbies include reading, performing science experiments, listening to music and spending time with her sister.
Talia is the daughter of Morgan Nucilli and Dominic Nucilli of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Bert and Marg Nucilli of Elkins and Cindy Dodd of Pennsboro. She has one brother, Gino Nucilli. In the fall, she will be a fifth grade student at Midland Elementary School. She is an “A” honor roll student and fitness club member as well as a member of the FC33 travel soccer team and junior PGA golf league participant. She loves to paint, draw, ride bikes, and spend time with her family and friends.
Alexis is the daughter of Bradley and Jeanette Devall of Beverly. She is the granddaughter of Lana Phillips of Elkins and Terry and Rose DeVall of Albright. She has three brothers, Austin, Tyler and Corey. In the fall, she will be a fifth grade student at Jennings Randolph Elementary School. She is an honor roll student and has received her school’s “Reach for Success” awards. She attends Center Stage Dance Studio where she studies tap, jazz, and ballet. She enjoys cheerleading for JRES where her twin brother plays basketball, reading, baking with her mom, swimming, camping and fishing.
Cora is the daughter of R.J. and Nicole Herron of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Wayne and Sue Bennett of Daily and the late Ronald Herron and Libby McCartney of Belington. She has two brothers, Trei and Bryson. In the fall, she will be a fourth grade student at Jennings Randolph Elementary School. She is an honor roll student and enjoys reading, fishing, crafting and playing with her dogs, Buster and Sammi. She is a member of Seneca Soccer and participates with the Elkins Rays and Elkins Otters swim teams. She loves the outdoors and camping with her family. She is passionate about animals and would like to have a job working with them some day.
Jackson is the son of Chip and Stacie Friddle of Elkins. He is the grandson of Charles and Penny Friddle of Elkins and Alan and Mary Yeager of Elkins. In the fall, he will be a second grade student at Third Ward Elementary School. He is a member of Seneca Soccer and enjoys riding his four wheeler, and attending the Elkins Motor Speedway events. He attends the After School Art Program at the Randolph County Arts Center, the Wonder and Grow Program and attends the Elkins Family Worship Center.
Troy is the son of Justin and Macy Jackson of Elkins. He is the grandson of Jim Jackson and Nicola Nieves of Elkins, Tim and Nancy Valaer of Elkins and Terry and Bill Kelley of Grafton. He has two sisters, Ruby and Hazel. In the fall, Troy will be a third grade student at Jennings Randolph Elementary School. He enjoys playing basketball, football and baseball and swims with the Elkins Otters. He attends Saint Brendan Parish.
The royal Minor Court will accompany Maid Silvia LXXXIII during her royal coronation on Friday, October 4 at the outdoor amphitheater on the campus Davis & Elkins College.
The 83rd Mountain State Forest Festival is scheduled for September 28 through October 6.
