MSFF Announces 2010 Jesters
The 74th Mountain State Forest Festival announces the appointments of Royal Jesters Tess Gabrielle Betler, Eliza Ann Cook and Carleigh Brooke Phillips to the court of Queen Silvia LXXIV. Tess is the daughter of R. Scott and Lori Betler of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Richard and Sherri Smith of Elkins. She has one sister, Lillyana. Tess is a sixth grade student at Elkins Middle School where she is an honor student. She is a member of Hi-Y, Otters Swim Team, Shadow, All-County Choir and Orlena United Methodist Church. An EMS cheerleader, she is in gymnastics, tap, jazz and ballet at Center Stage Dance Studio. Eliza is the daughter of Scottie and Tamela Cook of Elkins. She is the granddaughter of Gene and the late Loraine Cook and Shelva and the late Robert Starkey all of Glenmore. She has one brother, Jarrett. A seventh grade honor roll student at Elkins Middle School, she is a member of Hi-Y Club as well as the EMS Cheerleading Squad. Eliza is a student at Center Stage tumbling. She enjoys soccer, camping, riding 4-wheelers and go-carts, swimming, going to the beach and being with her friends. Carleigh is the daughter of Michael Phillips and Christy Chabut of Elkins. She has four siblings, Tyler, Brynna, Isaac and Bryson. A seventh grade honor roll student at Elkins Middle School, she is a member of the Hi-Y Club and Cheerleading Squad. She is a dancer and tumbler at Center Stage Dance Studio. Carleigh wants to be a sixth grade English Teacher and attends St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.
