Courtney Basil is festival princess.
Courtney Michelle Basil of Elkins, WV has been appointed Princess for the 74th Mountain State Forest Festival by Mike Ross. Courtney is the daughter of William and Cheryl Basil of Elkins, WV. She is the granddaughter of the late Harry and Twila Basil and James and Carole Jackson of Elkins.
Courtney is a 2009 graduate of Elkins High School where she was a member of the Volleyball team and Student Council. Courtney previously attended Alderson-Broaddus College where she was named to the Dean’s List and was a member of the Chapel Choir. She currently attends West Virginia University majoring in Nursing. Courtney is a member of First Baptist Church of Elkins and enjoys shopping, reading, hanging out with friends and helping others
